Pharmacists must be fluent in all types of communication in order to be successful. Potential pharmacists go through communication training in pharmacy school where they learn how to be effective in each type of communication. Role development can be seen throughout my nursing school profession, in my role as a student in the class room setting, in our clinical experience and in the lab. My role will continue to change as I graduate and start a new job in the medical field, not as a nursing student but as a registered nurse. As time progresses and I became more comfortable in my role as a student, the expectations that are set in front of me grew.

My mother has always encouraged me to be in the health care field, when I was in high school she urged me to take Health Occupation and become a Certified Nursing Assistant while still in high school. She would always say people are always going to be sick and need someone to take care of them. I became a Certified Nursing Assistant and went to work at a nursing home straight out of high school.
I tried my best to prepare myself for the challenging courses pharmacy school requires. I studied hard and took advance chemistry classes in high school in order to get into one of the best and most competitive pre-professional college program. After getting admitted, I am more certain that this is the path I should follow. Although a lot of times it can be challenging, I enjoyed the lectures about how different interactions between chemicals and our body can affect our daily lives, and how medicine have advanced along with chemistry and biology.
